Seems decent, shadow step in and shockwave. I don't really see the use of aftershow though (i assume that crystal wave and duplicate are for a second spike). Maybe you could take out aftershock and put in gale with a couple points in air on some of the spikers. That would be a great snare/interrupt/whatever else.

Spike speed seems slow. 1 every 45 seconds, another every 60. Do you use more than the two shadow steps to spike?

I agree with Mephisto on the Aftershock/duplicate versions of Crystal Wave.

Aftercast on the PBAoEs is 1.75 seconds I believe? That's a 2.75 second time from first spike to any second spike if you need it. I think you have to rely on Shockwave as your main spike.

I would drop Aftershock and one of Crystal Wave/Tenai's Crystals for more defense, utility, etc.

If you start spamming wards, etc. along with your spike, you'll probably want some energy management.

Ok, lets see what have you written here, mmmhmhmhmh.... blah blah... mhhhh ok;D

Almost completely rerolled build, Linkzor!!! - http://gwshack.us/529f2

As usual, you can change the monks skills to your taste, as it varies.

Gave a lot of snaring here, including:

- 2x of Dark Prison
- 2x of Iron Mist (if everthing else would fail, for desperate situations, or for flag/relic runners and yes, i know it only works for lightning damage)
- 2x Ice Prisons(Ice Prison + Teinai's Prison)
- Scorpion Wire for those that tend to run away
- Siphon Speed for everyone, its a spammable snare
- Antimovement hexes, Shameful Fear + Enduring Toxin
- Gale
- And of course, 3 x wards against Foes

So if we would add that up, we would have like, 4 seconds of 66% slowdown, 18 seconds of 90% slowed movement(in desperate situations) , 14 seconds of 66% slowed down movement by ice prisons, Siphon Speed -20% movement for 10 seconds, and of course, ward against foes , 50% slower movement 21 seconds, giving us a total
4+18+14+10+21 : 5 = 13,4 seconds of 99,5376 slowdown, completely making the enemy almost immobile;P, if not to mention Shameful fear. That is much better than slowmotion


Speed of spike :

Obsidian Flame - 118 x 5 : 7(casting time + recharge) = +/- 84 damage per second. Good when you can't get close to a target, and need to take it off from a distance. However, when you are able to make the foe slowed down, both OF and TC is recommended, and not only OF

Pros
- 118 damage
- Not bad recharge time - 5 seconds
- You can take people off from a distance
- It is not a projectile spell
- Low energy cost
- Ignores armor

Cons
- Causes exhaustion
- 2 seconds cast time
- does not ignore magical resistance

Teinai's Crystals - 106 x 5 = 530 damage to all adjacent foes. It has a very low casting time(0,75 second, but not as fast recharge (20 seconds). It is extremly effective in situations where many people to try to take control of the altar. Then, it would bring doom

Pros
- Works on all adjacent foes
- fast casting time speed
- Ignores armor
- and magical resistance
- Not bad damage, only 8 less than Obsidian Flame

Cons
- Works only on adjacent foes
- 20 seconds recharge
- hard to concentrate 5 eles adjacent to an enemy for a spike, so its mostly used against balled up opponents
- 15 energy cost
- Cures negative conditions

3 ways of speeding people up, that is:

- Windbourne Speed,
- Armor of Mist
- Siphon Speed
- Shameful Fear (for enemies, lol:P)


and some additional corpse control.

Exhaustion problems FTW?

I personally would suggest taking glyph of energy to help out with your exhaustion over ether prodigy. Most of these guys aren't TOO energy-heavy, and you have so many copies of everything that there's no reason at all for one character to spam. Glyph of energy would let you spike with OF much faster without having to worry about exhaustion, and could still help out with the big energy spells if needed.

If it were me, I would switch one of the assassin subs (dark prison isn't really that great) to another air ele. Gale is an awesome skill. I might also take out one of the wards against foes and replace it with shock (interrupting ghostly). On the changed-to-part-air ele stick in a gale and a blinding flash or something. Oh, and you might want a ward of stability.

Dam, this is getting into zaishen elementalist ranks -.-, ok dam fine

Changed elite skill, added ward of stability, limited the assassin subclass from 2 to 1, added 2 x shock and 1 more gale.
Tried to make this all look pretty simple, and yet at least not hard to build.

Your Obs Flame spike no longer does enough damage, since Factions added the +HP armor.

JR this is HA. The amount of people with the right equipment who are sharp enough to change their armor is low. But yah, i have a modded ob flame spike I prefer to run which adds a spot of damage.
